NO FEAR

Iran is closer to a bomb (we told you the NIE was a hack job!); the UN is closer to another scolding, this time with China included. Whoa! Business between China and Iran has been too brisk for these moral lepers (China) to consider anything beyond self interest. If Obama had a hand in changing that, good for him.

Still, even though the Chinese may have come around any UN "sanctions" will be gutless. We all know what is needed; it’s no secret to Congress either. What is lacking is courage on the part of our president. He didn’t even stand up for the Iranian protestors as it might have gotten in the way of his planned seance with the mullahs.

Obama's serial deadlines, his hope and change rhetoric have had no effect on the mullahs. Naturally. They know their man. The leverage they would obtain with nuclear is well worth the risk to forge ahead. Why not? They don’t respect a transgender-like leader who flirts with them, who in fact just sent them another love letter. They interpret this as either disingenuous or decadent. They have NO FEAR for a country whose leadership has demonstrated that it does not even believe in itself.

Another year wasted and for what? So that BO has time to bow to the Saudi king, then the Japanese emperor? So that BO has time to send messages of warmth and praise to Chavez and Castro? So that BO can defer to Russia on missile defense, and to China on human rights, global warming and Tibet?

In the meantime when the West is finally forced to act (perhaps contained nuclear) the repercussions will be exponentially more severe than if we had responded preemptively (embargo).
